Bihar Board Time Table 2026: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has officially released the dates for the 2026 Intermediate and Matriculation examinations. Intermediate exams will be conducted from February 2 to February 13, 2026, covering all streams, including Science, Commerce and Arts. The Matriculation exams are scheduled to begin on February 17, 2026, and continue until February 25, 2026.
For the first time, the Bihar Board will provide students with access to an AI chatbot for all exam-related information. This step aims to streamline communication and ensure timely updates regarding exam schedules, centres, and other essential notifications.

Intermediate and matriculation exam schedule
The Intermediate examinations will span 12 days, allowing students from all streams to appear according to the pre-defined timetable. Following the conclusion of these exams, Matriculation exams will commence. Students appearing for the Matriculation examinations will have nine days to complete their papers.

The board has instructed schools to update student lists promptly to ensure that no student is left out of the examination records. This is particularly important as over 15 lakh students have applied for Matriculation and more than 13 lakh for Intermediate examinations. According to the BSEB, 15,02,021 applications have been received for Matriculation, while 13,07,241 applications have been submitted for Intermediate exams.

Compartmental and special exams

BSEB has also announced the schedule for students who are unable to appear in the main exams or require re-examination due to unsatisfactory results. Compartmental and special exams will be held between April and May 2026. Students are advised to complete all formalities and remain aware of the dates for these exams to avoid missing any deadlines.

Result declaration and student registration

The results for the 2026 Bihar Board exams are expected to be announced between May and June 2026. The board has reminded students who have not yet registered to complete their applications by December 3, 2025. Schools have been asked to ensure that all student data is updated to facilitate smooth examination processes.

AI chatbot to assist students

In a first for Bihar Board examinations, students will now be able to access information through an AI chatbot. This initiative is part of the board’s effort to integrate modern technology into its examination system. The AI tool will provide updates on exam schedules, answer frequently asked questions, and guide students on procedural matters, ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination.
